My first 4th of July was postponed to the 5th due to the federal government not recognizing a holiday on Sunday, not because of other reasons. Yes, I may be little but I follow the news. Also, the Federal Reserve was closed so Mommy and Daddy got the day off. J We spent the weekend in Idaho Falls spending time with family. On Sunday, Grandpa Lembrich took me to see all the American/Liberty Flags and showed me the ones he carried. On the 5th, we got up and I think it was the first time Mommy has ever been to the parade before it started. It was very exciting, so much in fact that I had to take a quick nap just to keep up with the excitement. That night was the big show that Mommy and Daddy kept talking about, the fireworks. Again, I was so excited that when we got there I fell asleep and unfortunately I slept right through them. So I guess my 5th of July was just too much for me and maybe next year I will be able to stay awake for the Fireworks. Anyways, Happy Birthday America!

My First Visit to Yellowstone

In June, my parents celebrated their anniversary by going to Grandpa Rice’s cabin in Island Park and visiting Yellowstone. Of course I tagged along, (let’s face it they are never going to get to be alone ever again J ) After five hours of driving and being trapped in that awful carseat that my mom claims to be comfortable, we arrived in Island Park. On Saturday morning, we planned on going to Yellowstone until Mommy tried to take a shower and found out that there was no hot water. So after Daddy found out that he forgot to do a crucial step in the water turning on process, we all hopped back into the car and drove back to Idaho Falls to get tools to fix the water heater. Now some of you may be making fun of my mommy for not being to go without hot water, but I must inform you that we are not talking about your average cold water, we are talking about mountain river cold water that still has frost on it. So I will defend my mom and hot water was a must for the weekend. We finally were able to go to Yellowstone on Sunday and it was great. There were tons and tons of buffalo, elk, and we even saw a bear (well we drove by a bear; mom didn’t want to stop and be the bear’s lunch.) We did the upper loop with all the fun geysers and I now know that my parents cannot complain about my diapers being stinking because those geysers smell much worse, but they do give me something to aspire to. Yellowstone was fun and I can’t wait to go back when I’m older and can actually see out the window, but I must give my parents the award of “Best Backseat Entertainers” because I was laughing and giggling the whole time. (Pictures and Video coming soon.)

Three Months Old!
I am now three months old and my parents celebrated by getting me a pool. I think it was their excuse to get something to help cool them down this summer, but I had fun playing in the pool with mommy and daddy.
Tickle-Me-Maddi
So here I was playing with my mommy when all of a sudden she starts tickling me. I couldn't stop laughing. I guess she thinks I'm one of those tickle-me-Elmo dolls. My mom is so silly!

Saturday Morning Cartoons

So last Saturday morning, my friend giraffee, (yes, I know it's spelled with only one "e", but I pronounce it with two "e") introduced me to Saturday morning cartoons. Mommy was shocked that they were re-running old episodes of Mighty Morphine Power Rangers. So Mommy and Daddy told me all their old memories of the show. I now know how officially lame my parents are, I mean really, they pretended to be Power Rangers. Anyways, hopefully next Saturday there will be better cartoons for me to watch.
Two Months and Growing!

So it has been awhile since I have blogged and I'm sorry. I'm just been so busy growing and playing. I'm now two months old and at my two month check-up I weighed in at a impressive 10 pounds and 5 ounces, but my height was still on the short end at 21 inches. The good news is that I have finally grown into my 0-3 month clothes and wow do I have a lot to chose from! Since everyone thought I was going to be bigger, most of my clothes are 0-3, so now mommy is very happy to play dress up. Please someone help me, I swear she puts me in like three outfits a day! Anyways, life is good. I am getting better at holding my head up and I can rollover from my tummy to my back. (My parents think it's a big deal, they get really happy and cheer me on, but I really just feel like a dog, next they will be scratching my belly and telling me to sit.)
Playing at the Park
The weather has been so beautiful lately that my Mom is finally letting me outside. I have been holed up inside the house for weeks. we went on a nice picnic to the park. There were these huge trees all around it made me feel very little. Then Mom and Dad started arguing about how tall the trees were then I got bored. Anyway I had a really good time and I hope Mommy lets me go out again soon.
